Lake Como, ItalyVilla Carminati Resta

Villa Carminati Resta is a magnificent, restored neoclassical villa on the shores of Lake Como, Italy, dating back to 1787. It perfectly blends historic charm (Venetian flooring, original beams, 18th-century frescoes) with modern, elegant functionality. A wedding at Villa Carminati Resta unfolds as a beautifully orchestrated, multi-scene event, starting with a cinematic arrival—the couple stepping ashore directly from a boat onto the historic lakeside garden. The ceremony takes place on the perfectly manicured lawn, framed by neoclassical columns and the breathtaking backdrop of Lake Como. Following cocktails in the elegant courtyard and the twinkling bioclimatic greenhouse, guests move into the grand, two-story main villa for a formal dinner reception in halls decorated with historic Venetian details. Finally, the atmosphere shifts from classic elegance to industrial chic as the party moves to the soundproofed Loft, a renovated space with a dedicated bar where dancing and music can continue late into the night. The celebration culminates with the newlyweds retiring to the exclusive, panoramic Tower Suite, ensuring an intimate conclusion to a day of historic luxury.
