One of the finest examples of Lombard-Romanesque with an intact apse. The parish Church of San Giacomo (St. James) dates back to the 12th century. Inside are valuable works including a painting of the Deposition, attributed to Perugino, a large statue of the Dead Christ, of Spanish workmanship and a fine triptych depicting the Virgin Mary with Saints Roche and Sebastian. Its location in Piazza della Chiesa, on the hillside, makes it a distinct landmark from the water and the lungolago promenade path.
