Whether you're a trendsetter or a classic bride, we found hints of these ultra chic details in nearly every designer's collection - many on trend from head to toe - offering a little something for every bride.
ILLUSION
Zuhair Murad introduced the illusion trend to the spotlight and has since taken it to the max with his floral and lace appliqués strategically placed on full-length sheer gowns, showcasing the natural form of the bride’s body front and center as shown in this “Patricia” gown from the Spring collection.
For those more conservative brides, illusion shoulders, necklines and backs are great ways to work this trend into your wedding look yet still maintain a modest amount of coverage. The “Libby” gown by Amsale is a charmingly demure crepe bodice ball gown with a touch of flirt in its Illusion back and flowing skirt of floating flowers.
ALENCON LACE
An extra touch of luxury and vintage feel is the visible difference hand corded Alencon lace adds to any gown. Lela Rose awed with this inspired gown aptly named, “The Magnolia Tree,” during her Spring runway show in New York City. Meanwhile, Carolina Herrera’s Bridal line featured several hand corded pieces, including her full length “Jemma” gown showing true mastery of the lace using both heavy and light cords to accentuate the bride’s form.

COLOR
It’s no longer all about the white wedding with this season’s array of pastels to metals on the runway! Leading the pack is Luisa Beccaria with her soft lilacs and blush gowns gorgeously complementing brides with deeper skin tones while Peter Langner inspired with his structural elements and daring use of gun metal, grey and black!
CAPES & OVERLAYS
An Instant way to create 2 looks in one for your wedding day is to top off your gown with a cape, shrug or bolero jacket. From Monique Lhuillier’s full length “Breeze” cape gown adding drama to any dress to the subtle coverage of Inbal Dror’s sheer bolero, we’re loving how these capes and overlays are a simple solution to the dress change. This trend is prefect for any bride celebrating her big day in multiple settings. Capes and overlays change up your look from religious house of worship to a hotel ballroom or that gorgeous villa with beautiful indoor / outdoor spaces in seconds!
LONG SLEEVES
Long sleeves were everywhere on the runways this Spring 2016 and are clearly no longer just for winter weddings. Designers have worked this trend into their collections in two styles, full lace or illusion sleeves paired with either a sheath dress or a ballerina style skirt like this Hayley Paige or by adding a classic touch to a very sexy, backless, form fitting silk sheath called the “Parisian” showcased at Anne Barge. Either way, long sleeves provide just the right balance of skin and coverage to these bridal looks.
