Planning a Flawless Bachelorette Party

By Mia Khalil

Your best friend just called with big news; she’s getting married! !!!  A million happy thoughts run through your mind as you congratulate her on what is about to be the most exciting time of her life.  With so many festivities leading up to her big day, she needs someone she can lean on for support and guidance through it all. She needs a friend who has been with her throughout all the other important milestones in her life and knows her better than anyone else.  She needs YOU, her best friend and sister by choice; you’re practically family!

The two of you have supported each other since day one, so it makes perfect sense for you to plan her bachelorette party! Then it dawns on you – you’ve never planned a bachelorette party before and wouldn’t even know where to begin. This is where Aroos Joon comes in.

Don’t fret – we’ve got 5 steps to help plan the perfect, flawless bachelorette party and we’re sharing them with you!

1. Schedule a meeting - Bachelorette parties are all about having fun, living it up, and properly sending off the bride-to-be. But who says you can’t do so while keeping your plans structured? Invite all those helping you plan the party to a meeting to discuss event details such as: date, time, theme, expenses, etc. Make sure and keep these specifics from the bride-to-be, as you wouldn’t want her knowing all the surprises you’re planning. This is her last night with all of her friends as a single woman. Make it extraordinary!

2. Agree to disagree- Tensions tend to run high when there is a group of women planning to host the perfect party. Keep in mind this is supposed to be the most fun pre-wedding event the bride-to-be experiences. It is most likely the last time all of you will get to laugh, dance and be spontaneous together. Set some ground rules and make “agree to disagree and move on” one of them. Although you are designated to plan the bachelorette party, keep an open mind to group suggestions and remember, the bride loves each of you for your individuality.

3. Decide on a bachelorette party vibe- Make sure and tailor the style of the bachelorette party to fit the bride-to-be’s personality. If your bride-to-be is a laid-back, home on a Saturday night type of gal, then opt for a relaxing spa day followed by a sophisticated restaurant for dinner or a small gathering at a nearby hotel lounge. However, if you have an outgoing, life-of-the-party bride-to-be, we suggest an extravagant gathering at home or a local club, where she can live it up and be as spontaneous as she pleases

4. Keep the bride-to-be out of the loop- Try and sneak in as many surprises as you can during the bachelorette party. Every bride-to-be loves being surprised. With so many other things to worry about, planning her own bachelorette party shouldn’t be one of them. Create a calming, yet spontaneous event she will never forget. Custom design shirts for everyone to wear, order a specialty cake, buy a sash and tiara. These little details could turn into surprises she was never anticipating.

5. Be spontaneous- We’ve been hinting at this all along. Sometimes things don’t go as planned. No worries. Live in the moment and ensure your bride-to-be has the time of her life. Don’t get caught up in an itinerary or a set plan. If things fall through, just go with the flow. Your bride-to-be will never know there was a glitch in the plans unless you tell her.

You are well on your way to planning the perfect bachelorette party! Keep these 5 key points in mind and your bride-to-be will have the time of her life. You will forever look back at this moment as one of the most exciting nights of you and your best friend’s lives. So live it up and enjoy!
